AND MEASURES - General Specifications
A. Hanging weight of the partition shall be 18kg/m2.
B. Stack Depth Ratio = 146mm per lineal metre of opening
plus 152mm for each leadpost.
C. Maximum height 6000mm.
D. Laboratory Sound Transmission Coefficient (STC) 43.
1. PRODUCT: Folding partition shall be Won-Door Model
245 DuraSound as supplied by Won-Door (NZ) Ltd and shall
be installed by an authorised installer.
2. OPERATION: Folding partition shall be top supported
on dual tracking and be manually or electro/ mechanically
operated.
3. CONSTRUCTION: Shall consist of two parallel walls
of panels, independently suspended with no inner frame
or interconnections except at the leadpost. Panels shall
be connected by full height extruded vinyl hinges. Interior
surface of both walls shall be completely covered with
a continuous blanket of high density foil-backed insulation
secured to each panel with patented stainless steel
spring-clips.
4. PANELS: Shall be 115mm wide x 1.60mm thick extruded
aluminium, v-grooved for maximum strength and resilience.
5. PANEL FINISH: Shall be electrostatically powder
coated and shall be moisture, mildew and corrosion resistant.
Panel and hinge colour shall be selected from manufacturer's
standard colour range.
6. SUSPENSION SYSTEM: Shall consist of two extruded
aluminium tracks spaced 152mm on centre (203mm for motor
operated partitions) attached to the overhead structural
support in accordance with the manufacturer's recommendations.
Each panel shall be suspended by a steel hanger pin
and a 25mm diameter nylon-tired ball bearing roller.
7. LEADPOSTS: Each leadpost shall be suspended by a
12-wheel ball bearing carrier and shall be 152mm x 77mm
x 3.15mm extruded aluminium connected to the body of
the partition by specially designed extruded aluminium
panels. 8. HARDWARE: Shall include standard grip-type
handles and sliding latch to effect closure. (Provisions
for key locking shall be optional).
9. PERIMETER SEALS: Shall consist of continuous extruded
vinyl sweep strips attached to the top and bottom of
the partition. Leading edges of the leadposts and receiver
posts shall be acoustically sealed by extruded vinyl
interlocking seals.
10. LABORATORY ACOUSTICAL PERFORMANCE: The folding
partition shall have been tested by an independent acoustical
laboratory in accordance with A.S.T.M. E-90 test procedure
and shall have attained an STC rating of 43.
11. COMBUSTIBILITY: Folding partitions shall be constructed
of totally non-combustion sustaining materials and be
designed in such a way as to provide an effective sound
barrier.
12. MANUFACTURER'S GUARANTEE: The folding partitions
shall be guaranteed against defects in materials and
workmanship for a period of 3 years from date of purchase.
INSTALLATION:
1.Installation shall be done by Won-Door authorised
installers.
2. Preparation of the openings shall be the responsibility
of the General Contractor. The Architect shall be notified
in writing of any deviations or site conditions different
from approved drawings.
3. Installation shall be guaranteed for (3) years from
date of installation against defects in material and
workmanship.

1. PANELS: Shall be 160.5mm wide x 1.60mm thick extruded
aluminium, v-grooved for maximum strength and resilience.
2. LEADPOSTS: Each leadpost shall be suspended by a
12-wheel ball bearing carrier and shall be 152mm x 77mm
x 3.15mm extruded aluminium (252mm for motor operated
partitions) connected to the body of the partition by
specially designed extruded aluminium panels.
